How do I remove icons from my dock ? I tried the option of "remove from my dock" but whenever I reopen the app, it shows up (of course it will) but stays back and never goes away until I again "remove it from my dock" as it used to in MacOS Catalina.

In System Preferences : Dock & Menu Bar, deselect Show recent applications in Dock.
