Does Magsafe charger shorten battery life?

Is it ok to leave the phone on the magsafe charger for a long time? Like 3-4 hours? Does it shorten battery life?

Should I remove it once it hits 100%?

Thanks!

No, it doesn’t shorten the life of the battery. If anything, it extends the life of the battery. The “charger” is a microcircuit in the phone that regulates the charge rate. When the battery reaches 100% it stops charging. If you leave the phone connected to the power source the phone uses the external power rather than the battery, thus reducing the demand on the battery and the need to charge it as frequently. So leaving the phone connected to power is actually better for the battery.
