to HDMI?
MacBook, OS X 10.11
PS: while that's correct IF the MacBook is newer than 'build 2015? model' year suggested by
lookup by serial number, sales order number, &/or mactracker database ~ & shows details.

https://www.powerbookmedic.com/identify-mac-serial.php
• apple identify your macbook model: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201608
Database mactracker.ca (& everymac site, among others online; plus older Apple support info)
shows these as 2009, with 'early/mid/late' designators ~ these evolved, over time by specs. To
differentiate they use other identifiers; EMC, Sales Order #, & build year/season; etc to be sure.
Hopefully this thread arrives in proper and corrected ASC topic thread! Research has been done.
Good luck in any event!🐌|🤖|🐢
Could be you need the use of "Mini-Displayport -to- HDMI adapter."
-or as noted below, early and mid 2009 could use Mini-DVI adapter-
A Mini-DVI to HDMI adapter (6" cable)? If you've the early/mid 2009
Earlier suggested part # does not supply any vintage port/plug for
old 2009 MacBook 13-inch model. (USB-C won't do anything @ all.)
• Connect to HDMI from your Mac - Apple Support
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204388
The Mini DisplayPort: Connects to HDMI using a
third-party Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter or cable.
(Or maybe it could use "Mini-DVI" for Early/Mid 2009 MacBook 13")
Several quality brands of these adapters should be available.
While I've some older portable Macs, haven't used monitors.
Good luck & happy trails!🌞🌿🐝⛵️
..Had intended a reply go to you, too; while this worked..
Figure any can read all these since they're not private!
While I have access to various info sources online and
saved links to other sources within web browser; w/o
exact identification, some leave 'mac-size' doubts.
{Also, made request (appears granted) for host to relocate
entire topic thread to the vintage '2006-2010' ASC section.}
At least there's something useful to further correct search.
Take care & happy computing!🤖🚀🐌🤔
Yes! Thank you for the correction.
I did read fast and mistakenly got 2019, I’m sorry, DRBBSLIDER. K Shaffer got it right for ya.
You need a USB C to HDMI cable.
Thanks for all the replies. I have the cable now
