As you’re aware, unlike iPhone, iPad doesn’t include a “bundled” Calculator App.

If you’d like a free “full feature” Calculator App, without any Ads at all, try Sci:Pro Calculator:

https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/sci-pro-calculator/id684978583

Sci:Pro Calculator is considerably better than the free Calculator included with iPhone. There are many other “paid” Calculators that offer similar functionality. One of the best is PCalc - but if you’re seeking a totally free alternative, Sci:Pro is very hard to improve upon.

Pay the developer of the calculator app to get rid of the ads.

App developers of calculator apps are a cottage industry that filled a major void that Apple has not made a priority after over 10 years of iPad models.

Paying for a calculator app keeps the developer going and to keep offering support for their calculator app throughout the many iOS upgrades/updates.

There are plenty of great and very nice looking and very feature rich calculator apps for iPads that calculator app developers have designed and coded for iPad.

Many calculator apps are not very expensive to pay for, at all!

If you do not feel you should not have to pay for a calculator app for iPad, then you need to learn to live with the ads.

Apple early in iPad's development wanted a calculator app that fit the iPad and simply not a quick port of the iPhone calculator.

It never materialised and what Apple considered to be a “proper fitting” calculator app for iPad became a lower and lower priority for Apple.

Apparently, being nearly 2021, this still is a very low priority on Apple's priority list as even Apple knows there is a whole app development community dedicated to supplying great calculator apps for iPads.

Like I stated to you earlier, find a calculator app you like and if you feel so strong about NOT paying a developer for designing a great calculator app for iPad use, learn to live with ads.

The ads have no effect on the calculator app’s functionality.

It is what it is.

We iPad users had to deal with this omission and use third party free or paid calculator apps for the entire 10-year history of iPad.

Third party calculator app developers, whether you approve of this, or not, have filled thr void that Apple has left for over 10 years

You need to learn to deal with this, as well.

I have two calculator apps I like, in order of preference.
