I have a liquid-damaged MacBook (beyond repair) and want recycle it

I have a liquid-damaged MacBook (beyond repair) and want recycle it. I was not able to wipe anything before it went down. I want to recycle it but am a little worried about what personal data might be on it. It doesn’t power up. What should I do?
