M1 Chip After Effects

I am in the market to purchase a new MacBook in the next few weeks for video editing 4k footage and creating infographics. I am torn between a 16' inch MacBookPro with 32 RAM, 8gb graphics card, and 1tb of storage or the new M1 MacBookPro with 16 RAM and 1TB of storage. I've seen all the videos and reviews of specs but I still don't know which one would be more worth the purchase in the long run to handle a large load of video and graphics.

The M1 Macs perform well in benchmarks but they are still just the entry level models. If you want more power, get the 16” Intel or if you can wait for the higher end notebooks to be refreshed, then wait.
