Mac mini/Lg monitor Issue

I recently bought a new Mac mini with MI chip and High Sierra OS. With the package from Apple, I bought a LG 24MD4KL monitor. When the monitor goes to sleep after about 10 minutes of non-use, the display will not come on when I click the mouse or press return. I have to unplug the monitor and plug it back in to get the monitor to come back on. Is there a way to fix this problem?

The new M1 Mac Mini comes with Big Sur, not High Sierra.

A lot of folks are having trouble with Displays and External Hard Drives in Big Sur.

Go to > Apple > System Preferences > Software Update and check for an Update.
