Airpods: I can hear sounds, and can record with them, but in calls callers can't hear me speaking

Hi All,

I'm hoping someone can help me with my airpods, just lately, for the last couple of weeks or so, my airpods haven't been working correctly. I find that i can hear OK from them, and with a test recording app they record and playback my voice OK, but if I enter into a call, I can't be heard through the mic on my airpods, yet I can hear the person calling fine.

I've tested this on my Macbook and phone, and wifi and cellular, with wifi calling enabled and disabled. Does anyone have any solutions they can offer?

Hello,

Some people have reported success with this:

Open the Settings app and go to the Bluetooth section. Next to the AirPods entry on the list of devices, you should see an “i” icon inside of a circle. Tap this, then select microphone, and set it to either left, right or automatic. Try switching it back and forth.
