Loudspeaker default setting when making calls

Hello please can someone help I have iPhone 11. When I make or receive calls my phone is on loudspeaker !! When dialling I press to change, then when person answers it goes to loudspeaker again?? Google’s instructions seem to be out of date... it’s annoying me and hurting my ears ha.

Go to Settings>Accessibility>Touch>Call Audio Routing. I have mine set for Automatic, is yours set to Speaker?
