air pods resetting

I have been trying to reset my air pod pro. Every time I try to it says press the button on the back of my case and it's not doing anything. is there anything I can do to fix that?

Make sure that they are charged: If your AirPods won’t charge

Then, try a full reset:

Reset your AirPods

Air pods pro 2 won’t reset at all no matter what I do. I’m about to chuck these thing in the garbage I’ve followed ever recommended way to factory reset the air pods pro 2 the right pad just stopped working after I got a text this morning and never came back on.
