the model of the ipad is a MU122LL/A and when i look that up it says its a 3rd gen ipad pro 11". But when i look at the magic keyboard for the ipad pro 11", it says its compatible with 1st and 2nd gen?

we have bought 2 of these keyboards, and neither of them works, so we know we didnt get a lemon.

Make sure that your iPad is up-to-date. Magic Keyboard requires iOS 13.4 or newer. Remove any other cases, then attach your iPad to the Magic Keyboard. If this doesn't work, restart your iPad, and if it still doesn't work, contact Apple Support.
