deleted photos

I deleted photos off my ipad to free up storage and it deleted them from my phone too. I cant find them on my icloud which was last updated yesterday. they should be there but they are not. How do i fix this?

If you were storing your photos in iCloud and deleted, they will then be moved to the Recently Deleted folder and kept there for 30 days before being permanently expunged.


If you were storing your photos entirely on your device, then you can restore from a backup to restore the photos.

This is so confusing. I have redownloaded all my pics after losing my phone. So if you delete them on your iPad, it deletes them forever ok everything? That doesn’t sound right. I have literally done this before. I deleted them on my iPad and it didn’t delete them from my phone.
