Can two people each with an iphone share one Apple account?

Two people with two phones can share an Apple ID, but that isn't recommended because that data from one phone will sync to the other phone. For example, if you sync data to iCloud, you will end up with the same Contacts on both phones. Another example is you will get each others Messages.
If you don't mind the above happening, you can share an apple ID.
