Phone keeps restarting

I had this same issue yesterday for several hours, my wife is experiencing it today all day. Not sure if mine was resolved by a hard reset but it appears to be functional today, unfortunately my wife has not responded to anything. It seems as if apple screwed up some update that is causing this problem.
