Unable to update

I am unable to update due to not having enough disk space. It says I need 16.72 GB disk space. I purchased additional storage and I still cannot update. What do I do from here?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Follow @dailabrain advise. As for purchasing more space - that, we assume is iCloud Space and has zero effect on the Internal Drive empty space needed to perform the Update to Big Sur
