Brand New Macbook Pro 16, first time try and will not start

When I unpacked my new Macbook Pro 16 I read the included document and plugged in the charger to charge it before attempting setup. A day later I have opened it up and it won't start up. As advised online Apple Support, I held down power button for 10 seconds and then pushed it normally, nothing....

Brand new $2700 computer and it does not work....help..... and Apple support is not available for chat support and does not take calls on weekends....any ideas appreciated.

Hi MexRaider,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! We understand that your new MacBook Pro won't power on even after holding down the power button for 10 seconds. We know it's been a few days since you asked this question, and wanted to check in if it's still occurring?

If your Mac still won't power on, let's try to reset the SMC next:
