Administrative passwords issues

I’m the administrative user on my MAC, but since upgrading to Big Sur, I’ve had issues changing my preference security settings because my administrative password no longer works. I’ve reset the password many times and it continues to display “incorrect password”. I’m able to log into my MAC just fine, but unable to access or change my security settings due to the incorrect password. Is this a bug? Is there a solution to setting the administrative password?

It was indeed a bug. My Touch ID also became inoperable after upgrading to Big Sur. I followed the solution for fixing the Touch ID bug, and now my administrative password works.
