Adding memory to an iMac

Good morning


Have iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2019) with 8 GB 2400 Mhz DDR4 Memory


Consistently have a problem with memory getting loaded and thought about adding memory


Looks like I cannot add memory but Apple Authorized Support can


Had anyone had this problem with memory on the iMac

iMac 21.5″, macOS 11.1

Apple itself will not do memory upgrades to the 21.5" iMacs but an Authorized Apple Service Provider  will. Call then, give them the Model ID, size and year of the iMac and get an estimate before you go to the trouble of hauling it in. It won't be inexpensive.

If your iMac is still under warranty, absolutely use an Apple authorized facility. Even if it's no longer under warranty, I would personally recommend going directly to an Apple Store or contacting them for "repair" because I've had bad experiences in the past with Apple "authorized facilities".
