Wired headphones on USB to iPad Pro 12.9 / iOS 14 not working

Hi. Got some wired over ear headphones, using apple adapter (3.5 to USB) but, no audio at all. However, works fine on iPhone 11 pro max. Any ideas?

Oh ok,

Sounds like an issue with the USBC adaptor.

I would return the USBC adaptor, seeing as the headphones are working with another device

An adaptor which works on a 11 pro max will not work on an iPad Pro 12.9 4th gen 2020 as one has USBC and one has lightning

Sorry, my mistake. The headphones work fine in the iPhone using a lightning adapter but not when using the usbc adapter for the ipad
