Apple Books doesn’t seem to allow you to purchase a book and audio in one purchase. You have to purchase the book and audio book separately which is double the price? Is there a way around this?

There's no way to do that at present. Not sure there ever could be, as Apple just puts what publishers ask it to in their store, at the price the publishers specify. But you can let them know you would like this via
