New iPhone has automatically connected to my home wifi

I got a new iPhone XS today, and I partially set up the phone using my sim card (I was not home). When I got home, I went to set up my wifi and noticed that the phone has already automatically connected to my home wifi. I didn't set that up at all. How is this possible? Is it a new iPhone feature?

TIA

If you signed into your iCloud account, an enabled all of the standard features of iCloud, things like your WiFi and Bluetooth settings from your other Apple devices were synced down to the new phone. It's not exactly a 'new' feature... been around since iCloud Keychain made its debut a few years back.
