unable to install macOS Big Sur on macbook

I can download this new OS but it will not install after restart. Any suggestions?

If your Mac fully supports the newest macOS (Big Sur) you may be able to install

the 'installer' & then see if that finally loads the new system; that could take time.


Depending on what the Mac configuration is, and if the hardware is capable of

supporting Big Sur (no rotational HDD, & among later/recent hardware w/ SSD)

you could try restarting in Safe mode. ~ That has been known to be helpful.

Not sure what else you may need to try, for this system upgrade to fully work.
