cannot delete all text messages

Upgraded to Big SUR and no I cannot delete all text messages in the messages APP. There use to be a X to delete. Holding down the **** key or the Command Key does not work either.

You can swipe them or you can use the Delete Conversation command in the File menu. You can even add your own shortcut for that.
