Will the Apple TV 4K remote control turn on a new Samsung smart tv? Will it control volume?

Thanks to HDMI-CEC, turning the Apple TV box on or off (wake or sleep), can also bring other HDMI connected devices out of standby or into standby. This is supported by Apple TV, but it also depends on the other devices, to respond to it as intended.

The Siri Remote has volume control buttons and an IR transmitter to control the volume on a TV directly. If not supported with factory settings, then it can learn new devices for volume control.
