iBooks forgets View option from previous session?

I have had this problem since Mac High Sierra and on different machines and different builds. If I select View -> Sort-by -> Most Recent in iBooks it sometimes (more often than not) reverts to Title. Any idea how to have this setting fixed?

On iOS it remembers this setting fine so I don't think its those two apps interacting badly. Thanks.

Hey solomani,

Thanks for giving that a try. It appears that this can be related to the settings or files in your original account. Let's check for login items that could be affecting your Books preferences. Check this out: Remove login items to resolve startup problems on your Mac

Hey Solomani,

Let's try starting up your Mac in safe mode. It prevents your Mac from loading certain software as it starts up. Starting in safe mode will take a little longer than normal, because it verifies and repairs the directory, cleans caches, and loads only Apple-critical items. Check this out: How to use safe mode on your Mac

Thanks and enjoy your day.
