Sending phots from iPhone to email
I can’t figure out how to send a photo without it turning into a thumbnail sized jpg

There are 2 ways: Open the photo in the Photo app, tap on the Share icon (the square with an up arrow) and choose Mail; this will create an email message that you can address and send. You can also start an email, hold your finger in the text area for a second, and a horizontal menu will appear. Tap the arrow at the right end of the menu and then Insert Photo or Video.
