What is the trick to gaining access to your old iphones (so that I can wipe the memory and donate them) when I cannot remember the password to my old apple id.
Since I had these devices, I have changed my apple id to a different email.
The old devices seem stuck with the old id.
Any ideas?

Do you still remember your apple id email? What you could do is attempt to recover your password by clicking "Forgot Apple ID or Password" at https://appleid.apple.com/.

Because I changed my apple id email from one email to another, when I enter it to recover it says: This Apple ID is not valid or not supported.
