Many article said it is Mac not compatible but the latest M1 MacBook Pro does not have the option to turn on Airplay Display. WHY? I transferred data from time machine back up, could it be the problem from old version? If so, why Apple has not solved this problem, it seems like years the same issue is still outstanding. Please help! Thank you.

Airplay display only works on IPSec devices that understand Apple's video encryption handshaking over wireless like the AppleTV.
Make sure your AppleTV device is up to date and is certified Airplay compatible. If there is no Airplay device, then it won't try to connect to any.
