New Mac OS Big Sur

I have downloaded the update but i need more storage to install it,how do i increase it

Do i need to buy more storage ?

Big Sur states that you will need 35.5 GB of free storage when upgrading from High Sierra or newer, and 44.5 GB when upgrading from an older versions.

Hi,

Purchase bigger storage is a good idea, since storage devices are getting cheaper and cheaper these days, though if you have big music and picture libraries on your storage, move them to external drive could be get more free space on your storage.

Also delete unused applications could get more free space.
