I have an iPhone 6, Model S1549. What is the highest operating system allowed on this phone? My current system is iOS 12.5.1. I am trying to download an app that requires an of iOS 13 or higher. Do I need a new phone for this system?

So you might want to try to go to settings>iCloud>Scroll until you find iCloud backups and backup now. Then go to settings>scroll to general>Software update and update if possible if the works you can download you app or your phone has reached its end
That is as high as you can go, the 6 Series does not have sufficient RAM to run iOS 13 or above. You will need a newer phone.
1. Currently, 12.5.1. Apple might release another patch for it, but definitely not 13 or above.
2. You need an iPhone 6s or newer, but not a brand new model.

Would this be NHS Track and Trace? I have same problem. Apple says this release allows its use but Store won’t allow download.
Apple says iOS 12.5.1 allows older iPhones to use NHS Track and Trace, so why does App Store say you need iOS 13.5 to download it?
