Old Apple ID on iPhone 6

Good day hope you are all well..


I recently received an iphone 6 as a gift from my uncle .. I then went and did a update and restore on my itunes app on pc but when the iphone restarted it now asked me for the old apple id now I know the ID the icloud email but my uncle used the phone so long time ago he cant remember the cell number that was used to create the id or the password , when i try to reset the password i get stuck at the last number associated with the account ...any advice or help will be appreciated

For the Apple ID password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if he can get an email option if necessary.


Apple ID - Manage            


Apple ID – Forgot Password            


If necessary, if he is  the original owner, have him contact Apple. Apple can remove the ID  if provided the required paperwork. Either take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store (if it has reopened)
