how to block unwanted iMessage on iphone8?
it shows on iMac and iPad as well.
Message arrives from an email address not a phone number. Subject line suggests porn. I can only "delete message". Is there a way to put this sender on a blocked list?

If you're in Messages, open the conversation, tap the contact at the top of the conversation, then tap the Info button 
. Tap info 
scroll down, then tap Block this Caller.
"Block this Caller" is not shown as an option at this point.
