Cant sign into iCloud/says I’m already signed in

I have been trying to figure out a way to log into my iCloud on my MacBook Air. For some reason, whenever I try signing in, it says that I am already signed in when I’m not. I check internet accounts it does not pop up. Does anyone know how to solve this?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

Choosing the Apple menu. Then force quit. In the force quit pop up window choose System preferences.

Next sign in to the Apple store Instead of putting your password In Choose forgot password

Follow the prompts to make a new password

After it excepts the new password It will give you an option to sign out of all other devices. Choose sign out of all the devices.

Restart your device sign in to iCloud using the new password

This fixed the problem for me
