why does MacOs 10.13 keep trying to install security update

Hi,

My iMac is from 2010 and has been obsoleted. It has MacOS 10.13 in called. Recently I installed Security Update 6 per the App Store. The list of installed software on the machine says that #6 has been installed yet the App Store is still trying to install it. Is there a way to stop/fix this?

Thanks

iMac 27″, macOS 10.13

There's a bug in what is reported as installed, if it fails to install during the attempt it will show as installed nut About this Mac, highlight where it says 10.13.6 & to the right of that a Build# will show up, if it completed the 2020-006 sec Upd it'll say 17G14042, if 2020-005 was the latest it finished for real it'll say 17G14033...

Thank you BDAqua! Mine still ends in 4033 so it appears that it didn't finish properly. Can't believe Apple is letting this happen. One of their great strengths was that upgrades/installs just worked. I guess not so much anymore. Anyway, I'll redo the update tomorrow.

Thanks again.
