Apple Watch App question

I purchased an Apple Watch SE and the seizalarm app and I have an iPhone 8. I know the phone and watch are synced, how do I know if the app is actually working. In the settings on the phone it says to be sure that the monitoring is turned on in watch but I can't figure out where that is. I looked in settings and nothing. I don't see the seizalarm app icon on the watch itself. This is really important because my daughter has been newly diagnosed with seizure disorder and I need to know this is connected and working correctly.
