is there a printer for Big Sur 11.1?

Hi there,

I am using an HP OfficeJet All in One 3830 printer which will no longer work since MAC OS 11.1 Big Sur was downloaded. Any ideas on which printer will work? I don’t want to buy a printer every time there is an update.

As long as you choose to network (wired/wireless) the HP OfficeJet 3830, it is supported by the built-in Apple AirPrint driver support. That eliminates HP dependency and survives across operating system updates/upgrades.

Ensure that you have a networked printer configuration and that your HP device is powered. In System Preferences > Printers & Scanners panel, right-click on your OfficeJet entry in the Printers list, and select Reset printing system… This will start the re-add process and instead of any HP drivers, choose AirPrint instead, and then re-add the device. Time for a test print.

There may or may not be additional features now on the Printers & Scanners panel to configure scanning. This should also allow you to use Apple's Image Capture to drive the scanner.
