Finder Window
I can't seem to open a second Finder Window any more. Any thoughts?

Finder > Preferences > General. Uncheck "Open folders in tabs…".
Did you click on your Desktop before issuing that keyboard shortcut, because other applications also use that shortcut to open their new windows? It certainly will not work in an open or save dialog, as those are not Finder windows.
Since the last update to Big Sur, another operating system?
That is not working at all for me since the last update. It's driving me crazy!
