M1 Mac Mini webcam cannot display video and not sending video on FaceTime

Hi All,

Ever since my M1 Mac Mini arrived it could not open the webcam properly on the first try. I would just get a black window and an error message. It does not matter if it was FaceTime, Photo Booth, etc. If I closed the app and then re-opened it I would get the video and everything is fine.

Since I upgraded to Big Sur 11.2 from 11.1 the remote user cannot receive my video using FaceTime. It does not matter if they are using an iPhone, Mac, Mac Pro, etc. They are just not receiving my video.

I am using a Logitech C920 connected directly to the Mac.

Any ideas where to look or tweak?

Thanks!

Mac mini 2018 or later

It appears that Norton Antivirus was the culprit. After uninstall it everything is working great.
