How do you lock/unlock screen

If you are using the iCloud Backup Now button, the screen doesn't need to be locked.

If you want it to backup automatically while charging, either lock the screen by pressing the right side button, or do what I do and let it lock itself automatically based on the time selected in Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock.
