My new LG tv says no signal on my Apple TV it has been hooked up properly and it worked flawlessly on my old tv

You may need to select on the new TV, which HDMI port to take input from.
This could be automatic with HDMI-CEC (LG: SimpLink) active, if the implementation supports switching to newly active HDMI devices.
