Signing into itunes on mac book pro

I can sign into apple website, and every apple app on my phone, am able to pay with apple using my username and password. I cannot sign into my itunes on my mac book pro. I could for a long time. I have changed my password countless times hoping it would work again. It will not accept the same username and password I just used to sign into this forum. please help. not only can i not sign in, but the pop up screen to sign into itunes wont go away.

Create a New User:

Try creating a new administrator. See if you can log in with that user. If it works, then it is likely an issue with the configuration of this current user. So, what you would do is transfer everything over to this new user, and then trash this one you are currently logged into.


Locked Account:

Perhaps you have been locked out of your Apple Account. So, contact Apple Support, asking them to log in. There are many possible reasons as to why you may be locked out, in this case too many unsuccessful login attempts is the likely culprit.

Possible Reasons Could Include: 

  • Too many unsuccessful login attempts
  • VPN (Virtual Private Network) usage
  • Consistent transactions
  • Session Times Out
  • Disobeying Terms & Conditions

To Re-Enable it:

As you might suspect, no one here would know the reason for this occurrence, of course. So, contact Apple Support. They’ll know why this occurred and will run you right through the fix.

Contact Apple Support:

Note: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due do lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through.
