Can't play apple music playlists on ITunes

Recently I've been experiencing an issue with iTunes where I can no longer play any music. It does not show any of the songs as greyed out, rather when I press play on the song it just has a blue bar underneath the track and the song never ends up playing. This is not limited to specific songs, almost the entirety of apple music is unplayable for me. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes and ended up making the problem worse. Is there any fix for this?
