iPad Full Corruption

I recently downloaded the newest iOS for my iPad Gen 5, and when I went back to check on the iPad, I found the iPad completely corrupted and unusable. It kept glitching out and I can’t even restart or go into settings, as swiping is basically nonexistent. If there’s a solution to this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Restoring to Factory Settings would be appropriate- as this will completely reset the iPad and automatically install a fresh copy of the most recent version of iOS/iPadOS supported by your iPad:

Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings – Apple Support

At conclusion of the process, you’ll be able to restore your data from an iCloud or iTunes backup.
