Iphone freezes intermittently and between switching apps

Hello, I have an XR and when switching between apps, the screen freezes and either it returns to the one app and logs me off the other, or it just completely knocks me off the apps. This happens more and more each day and i've tried turning it off then turning it back on. I've got all the upgrades updated. None of this works. Does anyone know how to resolve this problem? My phone is well taken care of. There's not a scratch on the screen, I've not dropped it. Basically, I am saying that I take very good care of the phone. No accidents.
