Restart your computer. If it is frozen hold the power button until it shuts down, then wait 15 seconds, and restart.


If normal functions are not restored, restart with the Shift key held down, which may take 10-20 minutes. This is a Safe Boot. The computer will run slowly under Safe Boot, but are normal functions restored? Reboot normally and re-check.
