I am trying to uninstall the macOS Catalina Installer. Please help as I am unable to do so. I am currently on macOS Big Sur. I seriously want to get rid of it as it is a significantly large file.

Where is it? Normally, you might find it in your Applications folder. is it in Downloads? If you are able to find it, you should simply be able to drag it to the Trash and then empty it. Otherwise, please be more specific as to what is happening.
You need to temporarily disable SIP.

Basically disable SIP, restart, delete the file, re-enable SIP.

It was in my applications folder, I moved it to the trash but I can't empty as it says that it is in use
Try restarting the computer. Often times that will fix these kinds of issues.
Follow what @Ronasara suggested. If not successful restart in Safe Mode - Shift - immediately at startup and try again and test. If all ok - restart in Normal Mode.

As I said, you need to disable SIP first.
