I cant get my brand new series 6 watch to record an outside walk. I have read a few threads and many seem to have the same problem. Is there a fix? I paid £699.00 for my watch and I really expect this to work.. Help anybody please.

Thanks the reply helped but it seems I have start an outside walk manually or via Siri. However if I don't start manually, or ask Siri to start, do I still get credits on calories burnt miles walked heart rate etc..
Thanks but not clear and I’m very new to this watch. So nothing kicks in until I have done 20 minutes, or only the calibration building up for the first 6 months of wearing the watch? Sorry I’f I’m being thick here..
Yes it all kicks in but that 20 min workout is so that all your future workouts will be as accurate as they can be.
You don't have to do it but measured distances etc might not be as accurate as they should be.
Yes but if you don't do the 20 minute workout then the watch won't be calibrated.
