I used to see an email preview ABOVE the list of emails. Now, I see it at the side (see screenshot). What settings will get it back to appearing above? I don't think I had changed any settings. Have not updated any software. Using latest version of Catalina. Weird! Any help greatly appreciated.

Oops. I was on Big Sur. In Catalina, uncheck "Show Side Preview". Also in the View menu.

FWIW, as long as I can remember it was never above the list. You can change it to below the list from the "View" menu. "Show Bottom Preview".
