Need help restoring data to iPhone 7 after updating via computer. Data was backed up but no option to enter a passcode was offered. Now I'm being asked to provide a passcode. I tried Apple ID Passcode, iPhone passcode and computer passcode. None work. Now what?

Seems you made the backups encrypted at some point

You need to remember the password used or you will not be able to restore that backup

Thanks!! The suggestion that the encryption issue could have been in the background and I wasn't aware it was active was spot on. I used an old password and it worked ... Praise God and thank YOU razmee209!!
