Is this true? Single Monitor only for M1 chip computers?

All Macs, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air with the new Apple Silicon M1 chip are incompatible for separate dual monitors? And can only connect a single external display at a time in conjunction with the laptop screen.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.2
